DirecTV has a new satellite, and we can no longer pull in the network channels in high definition.
Has anybody with a personal dish (not the shared one on the roof) upgraded their dish and DVR to receive HD channels CBS-WHD, NBC-WHD, ABC-WHD, and FOX-WHD? Was it free?

That explains why we've never been able to get HD channels...really want to figure this direcTV dish issue once and for all.
Would it make more sense to work it out so each unit can just put their own dish on the roof since the roof of our building (the upper one) is not really visible by anyone? Additionally, other people in our building have (in violation of condo rules) put their own dish on the roof anyways and it's not been that big of an issue, IMO.
